Holding

Inspired by the Kammerspiel (Chamber Drama), a German film movement of the 1920s silent film period, Holding is a short animated film in which an anonymous man is enchanted by his reflection, and haunted by his shadow. The scenario was adapted from Roman poet Ovid’s tale based on the Greek myth of Narcissus. The film was shot using a method of stop-motion animation called Pixilation, a technique where live performers are animated frame-by-frame.
